Lead, Technology Operations | Brampton, ON
Join a high-impact team that plays a critical role in powering the day-to-day technology operations of pharmacies across Canada. As a Lead in our Technology Operations team, you’ll work at the intersection of innovation and stability – supporting client-server retail pharmacy systems, leading strategic deployments, and driving enhancements across our microservices-based architecture hosted on Google Cloud. This is a hands-on technical leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the technical operations and support of our pharmacy platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical applications.
- Oversee end-to-end deployment activities, including release validation, rollback strategies, and coordination with development and infrastructure teams.
- Leverage your deep understanding of pharmacy workflows, retail systems, and client-server applications to troubleshoot complex incidents and drive root cause resolution.
- Partner with engineering, QA, and cloud infrastructure teams to enhance our microservices-based solutions and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) configurations.
- Mentor and guide a high-performing team of engineers and support specialists, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
What you Bring:
- Strong technical background in supporting and operating client-server applications within retail or healthcare domains – preferably pharmacy systems.
- Hands-on experience with software deployments, release management, and production support in complex distributed systems.
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred), containerization, and microservices architecture.
- Working knowledge of ITIL principles – Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach teams, influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.
